Location: Chennai – Port Blair – Ross + Viper Island – North Bay – Havelock Island – Port Blair – Chennai
With a beautiful coastline, lush forested interior, endless diving possibilities and a serene location, the Andaman Islands are an ideal place to satiate the traveler within you. Shimmering turquoise waters are surrounded by primeval jungle and mangrove forest, and its sugar-white beaches melt under glorious flame-and-purple sunsets. There are 572 islands, majorly divided into five broad categories – Great Andaman, Little Andaman, Ritchie’s Archipelago, East Volcano Islands, and Sentinel Islands. The Great Andaman is also home to the Great Nicobar Biosphere Reserve, housing marine life as well as flora & fauna (anybody up for finding Nemo? We are).
At the Havelock Island of Ritchie’s Archipelago cluster, you can enjoy water sports such as scuba diving, and snorkeling. Each island of Andaman, is different from other and has a unique story associated with it. If one has historically significant landmarks like Cellular Jail, Ross Island, Viper Island, Hopetown and Mount Harriet, the others are home to exotic bird species, the traces of which can be seen only in the books.
Adding to Andaman’s charm are 96 Wildlife Sanctuaries, 9 National Parks and 1 Biosphere Reserve. Havelock’s sandy beaches? Neil’s forests? Port Blair’s scuba diving? We have you covered.
Highlights of the tour:
- Visit the Anthropological Museum in Port Blair
- See the reminiscent of the old British regime at Ross Island
- Experience the exotic marine life via glass boats/snorkeling at Coral Island
- Visit one of the best beaches in Asia – Radhanagar beach
