TAPVC is also known as Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection is described as an abnormality of blood flow that happens in all pulmonary veins with or without any type of pulmonary venous obstruction.

Total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage is described as a rare cyanotic congenital heart defect that takes place within the four pulmonary veins. TAPVC usually occurs when there is any obstruction, which is, when anomalous vein gets inside the vessel at a critical angle, then that can cause pulmonary venous hypertension.

TAPVC symptoms include right ventricular heave, loud S1, S3 gallop, systolic ejaculation murmur on the left upper sternal, right ventricular hypertrophy, etc. TAPVC surgical treatment redirection should only be done in the first month of life to help save the patient.
