CABG with ASD/VSD closure surgery is required when a person has multiple heart defects. This is a open heart surgery carried on in patients for closing holes between the upper chambers of the heart lungs. ASD, Atrial Septal Defect closure and VSD, Ventricle Septal Defect Closure are both required to close holes in the upper chambers and the lower chambers of the heart. Open heart surgery is required, but only at a later stage in life.

Although, it is a rare condition, it is detectable in patients. Some holes are so small that they get corrected automatically and do not need surgery. In most cases, the small holes get corrected in children before they reach 2 years of age.
