When a patient’s cardiac report shows a EuroSCORE value greater than 5, he/she has to undergo high-risk open heart surgery. The surgery involves complications and if anything goes wrong then that may lead to severe left ventricle dysfunction. Mortality rate becomes high the condition becomes severe.

High risk CABG treatment is performed through open-heart surgery. High risk CABG symptoms include intolerable and persistent symptoms irrespective of medical treatment, high risks of heart attacks and specific signs of arterial narrowing.

Also, patients with stable angina may have to undergo CABG. A stable angina is defined as a condition when chest pain stays stable because its severity, frequency and duration keep unchanged. Also, patients with certain cardiac conditions and persistent coronary heart disease should undergo high-risk CABG.
