When we reach Chennai, our representatives will meet you and you will be transported to the hotel where you spend the whole night.
Chennai sits on the ‘Bay of Bengal’ and it is the capital of Tamil Nadu, ranking 4th as the largest city in India. In Chennai, you cannot afford to miss Fort St. George, which was constructed way back in 1644. It got tagged as the national monument when we turn back the pages of history and notice that it happened in 1948. Many of the building of this Fort have given way to high-authority government offices, namely the Legislature and Secretariat. You must pay a visit to San Thome Cathedral, the National shrine of St.Thomas Basilica. This Catholic Church reflects a Gothic essence in its appearance. It has a popular saying that this Church is home to the remains of this great saint. He was also called ‘Apostle of India’. The latter took his last breathe in 72 A.D at St Thomas Mount.
Then it is about speeding down to reach Mahabalipuram, covering almost 58 kms, en route, Destination: Kanchipuram.
Kanchipuram also codenamed Kanchi is a famous city, called “Golden City of a Thousand Temples”, 72 kms from Chennai in Tamil Nadu, is a historic town in India. It is popular for the series of temples that have been well-preserved. The handcrafted silks add richness to the cultural history of Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram has its deity connection with Shiva and peace-loving deity Vishnu and holds the prestigious position in the slot of 7 sacred Indian cities. You must not miss taking a trip around the popular temples like Ekambareshwar Temple. If you are a devotee of Lord Shiva, the Kailashnath Temple with magnificent architecture, sprawling lawns, will stun you. The followers of Lord Vishnu can pay a visit to Kamakshi Temple where Lord Vishnu can be traced in sitting, standing and sleeping positions.
You will also get the opportunity to take a trip of Vaikunthaperumal Temple. All these revered places hold a place for the devotees and these were constructed way back in the seventh and eighth century. Kanchipuram is synonymous with handcrafted top-quality silk saris, with heavy embroidery work on the pallu and eye-grabbing designs. This weaving and excellent traditional craftsmanship has its roots in the era of Pallavas, where silk was regarded as a sign of royalty and opulence.
It will be a driving to the next destination Mahabalipuram and after you reach the hotel, you check in.

The day starts with sightseeing at Mahabalipuram, where you get to explore the magnanimous Shore Temple, dating back to 7th century. This is a fantastic rock-cup temple and has earned accolades from all over the globe. Lining the Bay of Bengal, Mahabalipuram happens to be a prominent seaport from first century AD. The town had witnessed temple building. Here you can explore the pagoda style temples that are washed by sea waves. Other sights that will capture your attention are the monolithic monuments, temple chariot formations and the carved animal figurines made from rock, which is reminiscent of the influence of Dravidians. You have the afternoon for your leisure time. You stay at hotel overnight.
The trip is of 140 kms to be covered in 4 hours. You leave for Pondicherry in the morning and check-in at the hotel when you reach the place. Pondicherry is an attractive and quaint former French colony that comprises of whitewashed houses and scenic streets. Keeping in mind the French influence, there are multiple restaurants that specialize in French cuisine delicacies. These apart, there are several boutique shops selling leather goods, artistic handicrafts, exotic fragrances and pottery decorative items. There is also Sri Aurobindo Ashram that is well known amidst the local and foreign travelers.
During the day take time and visit the Auroville, which is called the City of Dawn. It has been designed by a French architect names Roger Arger. It is best described as a universal city in its building stage that focuses on the overall development of the human being emotionally and spiritually. The place was established in 1968, it is the home for more than 1300 residents who belong from as many as 30 countries. Auroville happens to be a self-managed and non-sectarian community with the objective of fostering sustainability at every level. It aims to extend the township to as much as 50,000 inhabitants. From here you return to hotel over an overnight stay.
You start the morning by visiting in and around Pondicherry and visit the famous Eglise De Sacre Coeur De Jesus that is attributed to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and is well-known for its stained glass panels that narrate Christ’s entire life. The Church is distinguished for its Gothic architecture. This apart, head to the Saint-Joseph de Cluny School and then stroll around the vibrant bazaars! In the afternoon take a drive to Chennai and then fly to Madurai via an evening flight and reach your hotel for an overnight stay.
You start with an early morning visit to the Meenakshi Temple that is reminiscent of the traditional Dravidian sculpture and architecture. It has two sanctuaries of which one is dedicated to Meenakshi and one to Lord Shiva. There is also the Hall of a Thousand Pillars that is fantastic and attracts worshippers all through the day. Other than this you can also head to Tirumal Nayak’s Palace established in an Indo-Saracenic style that comprises of an elaborate arcade that is assisted by a 48 feet stoned pillar. In the evening make it a point to experience the “Aarti” at Meenakshi Temple that takes place amidst religious prayers and traditional music. You return back to hotel for an overnight stay
This is a total journey of 145 kms to be completed in 5 hours as you leave for Periyar in the morning and check-in at the hotel as you reach. Periyar spans across an elaborate 777 sq kms across the Cardamom Hills in the scenic Western Ghats. Here you will come across Thekkady that houses some of the greatest wildlife reserves and is rich in exotic flora and fauna. Visit the spice plantations and local tea plantations towards the afternoon. Post this return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Here you have to cover a distance of 135 kms in 4 hours. Towards the morning experience, the serene boat rides on the pristine Periyar Lake and enjoy the natural landscape. You will come across wildlife such as the spotted deer’s, wild monkeys, wild boars, elephants and many more. The wildlife sanctuary rests at an altitude of 914 to 1828 meters atop the sea level of Periyar Lake. This early morning drive will also make you see the rich tea plantations and a glimpse at the paddy fields in Kumarakom. When you arrive at Kumarakom you check-in at the hotel. This place is a quaint backwater village situated on the mesmerizing Vembanad Lake where there are beautiful ancient cottages. You stay at your hotel overnight.
On this day you will take the morning motor launch to a fascinating cruise amidst the Kerala backwaters. Your journey starts with the scenic lakes and backwaters where you relax and soak in the tranquil scenery. You have the chance to observe and absorb the everyday way of life here with the localities and also experience the one bedroom house with a lounge kept for you. Whilst your stay enjoys the freshly cooked meals served on board. Also, take time to relax by the sundeck and gaze at the ambiance, the local people and sip in coconut water and return to your inner peace.
Get off at Alleppey and then head to Marari, a distance of 90 km and then check-in at your hotel. Mararikulam is a scenic fishing village located in the pristine Kerala coastline. This is a shallow and private beach and is bordered with coconut palms. The Marari Beach Resort is set against a wonderful locale that has 25 acres of coconut palm groves. The hotel is created in the pattern of a conventional fishing village having thatched villas depicting the local village style. The ambiance here is a mix of urban and rural world creating a charm of its own that you will like. It’s like the best of both worlds. You stay overnight at the hotel.
Post your breakfast in the morning head to Kochi and on reaching sign into your hotel. Post this your Kochi sightseeing starts. Kochi is called Kerala’s commercial capital and possesses a great natural harbor. It is also termed as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea”. From a long time back in history, Chinese, Portuguese, British, Dutch, Chinese, Arab seafarers had taken the sea path to Kochi and has left their impact in this town. Here you can visit the famous tourist attractions such as the Church of St. Francis, Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch Palace. You can also learn about the Chinese fishing nets.
Towards the evening watch Kathakali dance performances that comprise of 100 mudras and more that depicts various forms like heroes, deities, kings, heroines and the like based on the Ramayana and Mahabharata. From here you return to your hotel to spend the night.
In the morning you will be transferred to the airport to board your Mumbai flight. As you arrive you will be shifted to the hotel.
Later start sightseeing of Mumbai, from India Gate, the entrance to the port of Mumbai. It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V in 1911. Historic Gateway is more important, as the last of the British troops, which left independent India by sea, have passed through its portals.
Other attractions will be The Prince of Wales Museum; was established during the early 20th century. This museum is considered as a heritage structure in Mumbai because of its admirable architecture. The Prince of Wales Museum is one of the most significant museums in India. The museum showcases several collections of ancient artworks, sculptures, and artifacts in its galleries, Marine Drive, which runs along the coast of the Arabian Sea from Nariman Point (Nariman Point) past Chowpatty Beach (Chowpatty Beach) to the foothills of Malabar (Malabar Hill).
If time permits also visit Elephanta Caves by Boat cruise (closed on Mondays) from the Gateway of India. The caves are located on the top of a gentle stairway, which begins almost immediately where the ferry wharf hits land.

Transfer to Mumbai airport to board the flight for the onward destination.

We had a very nice trip and we enjoyed of what the company arranged for us. The sightseeining of city and shopping all Minar guiders were kind and warm & sympathies like most Indian people that are met during last week. The driver that took us to Agra and Delhi also had Very patience. We are thankful of every thing. We were going to miss India and hope to come back again. I want to thank you for arranging our norooz tour on the behalf of all group. We had a very good start at the airport, our hotel on Cochin was very good and had beautiful garden & nice pool. We enjoyed the city tour & water fall and loved folk dance. Our driver and his aid & our tour leader were very helpful & nice people. I believe Zuri hotel is the best hotel that we visited in this trip and also house boat tour was really good. Leela hotel was realy the high end hotel in kerala with nice view and pool and the room also was excellent with arabian see view . We all realy enjoy our visit elephant camp& jungle. Again we end our trip to india with great memories!
