You reach Delhi. One of our company professionals receives you and takes you to your hotel, where you relax for a while. In the afternoon you start roaming the capital city and visit the main tourist attractions. In Old Delhi you touch upon Shanti Vana, Chandni Chowk, Red Fort and Raj Ghat. In New Delhi you get a glimpse of the famous Rashtrapati Bhavan (a regal residence for the British Viceroys) the India Gate (memorial constructed honouring the Indian soldiers who died for the country in the Aghan War) and the Qutab Minar, (a monument established by Qutub-ud-din Aibek that belonged to the Slave Dynasty). You also visit the Bahai Temple. You return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Towards the morning you start by visiting National Museum. The museum houses a collection of relics that are 5000 years old from the remains of Indus Valley civilization, stunning paintings, ancient mural paintings and manuscripts belonging to the times of Buddhist Shrines in Central Asia. You also get to visit the National Gallery OF Modern Art that houses various works of new age Indian artists. From here head to the Crafts Museum, which is an interesting open-air museum presenting Indian craftsmen with their work. There is also the National Rail Museum, where you can see original bogies and engines. Don’t forget to visit the Gandhi Smriti Museum that houses personal belongings and books of Mahatma Gandhi. You return to hotel to stay overnight.
Post breakfast take a drive of 6 hours covering 265 kms and reach Jaipur and check-in at the hotel. Late in afternoon walk in and around the hotel at leisure and do whatever you want to. You stay overnight at the hotel.
Take a morning tour to the famous Amer Fort located out of the city. Experience the famous elephant ride from the hill top where this fort is located. Towards the afternoon start exploring Jaipur. Head to City Palace located in central Jaipur and is a mix of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture. A little ahead from here is situated the Central Museum that houses a great woodwork collection. The other historical monument not to miss is Jantar Mantar, which happens to be the biggest of the 5 observatories constructed by the famous Sawai Jai Singh. There is also the Hawa Mahal that was established for regal ladies to have a glimpse of the kingly processions without getting noticed. You return to your hotel to stay overnight.
In the morning drive down to Agra by covering a distance of 240kms in 6 hours from Jaipur. On the way you get to explore Fatehpur Sikhri, an isolated city that wasn’t inhabited by people owing to water shortage. Reach Agra and go to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Take a morning visit to Government Museum located in Mathura that houses an exhaustive collection of coins, bronze, terracotta and exquisite sculptures, multiple figurines belonging to the Gupta period, a standing Buddha statue dating back to 5th century. Don’t forget to stop over at Akbar’s tomb at Sikandra, situated in a huge walled garden in a road to Delhi. Stay overnight at your hotel.
Take a morning visit to Taj Mahal, a stunning historical marble creation with ornate walls carrying an exclusive pietra dura (stone inlay) work. Later in the day head to the Agra Fort that still carries an uneven outline of a razed up mud-wall fort of Lodis. Stop over at the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula situated in a walled garden that overlooks the Yamuna. You can also check-out the full moon night dates.
You are taken to the railway station in morning. You reach Jhansi and explore Orchha on the way. When you arrive at Khajuraho, walk in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
In the morning start touring around Khajuraho by visiting the biggest temple in Kandariya mahodeo, created in honour of Lord Shiva. Get to the airport on time to take the flight to Varanasi. Check in to the hotel on arrival. In the evening visit the Ghats to witness the sacred Aarti ceremony and return back to hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10 – Spend the day in Varanasi
Experience an early morning boat ride over the Holy Ganges. You get to witness the elusive ghats and the stone steps that create an ambiance of its own. Head to Vishwanath Temple created by Birlas with Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya planning it and then the Tulsi Manas Temple dedicated to Lord Rama and established in 1964 and the Bharat Mata Temple. In the afternoon take a trip to Sarnath, a major Buddhist pilgrimage center.
Reach the airport on time to take the flight for onward destination.
Our trip to South India was fabulous. The beautiful temples and serene beaches were enchanting. We will never be able to forget such a warm welcome from your company. I want to thank the company "Minar travel" for the great organized tour of the Golden Triangle! All hotels on the tour were great, transportation is very convenient and comfortable! The organization of the tour was at the highest level, starting with a meeting at the airport and checking into the hotel and ending with the landing on the flight to Goa at the end of the tour. We had a very nice trip and we enjoyed of what the company arranged for us. The sightseeining of city and shopping all Minar guiders were kind and warm & sympathies like most Indian people that are met during last week. The driver that took us to Agra and Delhi also had Very patience. We are thankful of every thing. We were going to miss India and hope to come back again. I want to thank you for arranging our norooz tour on the behalf of all group. We had a very good start at the airport, our hotel on Cochin was very good and had beautiful garden & nice pool. We enjoyed the city tour & water fall and loved folk dance. Our driver and his aid & our tour leader were very helpful & nice people. I believe Zuri hotel is the best hotel that we visited in this trip and also house boat tour was really good. Leela hotel was realy the high end hotel in kerala with nice view and pool and the room also was excellent with arabian see view . We all realy enjoy our visit elephant camp& jungle. Again we end our trip to india with great memories!
